Overview
Member Splash now offers ACH (Automated Clearing House) bank transfer payments through our partnership with ECRYPT. ACH is a simple, secure way for members to pay directly from their bank account, and it costs significantly less than credit cards:
Credit Card: 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction
ACH: Only 0.5% per transaction
Getting Started Is Easy
Enabling ACH takes just three simple steps:
Step 1: Submit Your Application
Contact Member Splash support to get started. We'll connect you with ECRYPT to complete a brief application.
What you'll need:
Basic organization information
One board officer's contact details (typically President or Treasurer)
A voided business check
Copy of the officer's driver's license
3 months of bank or processing statements
Why so much information? Federal banking regulations, such as KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering), require this for all organizations processing electronic payments. It's standard for payment processors and protects both you and your members.
Step 2: Quick Review (5-7 Business days)
ECRYPT reviews your application to ensure everything is complete and compliant with federal requirements.
Step 3: You're Live!
Once approved, we'll activate ACH on your account and send you a confirmation email. Your members can immediately start choosing between credit card or ACH at checkout.
What Your Members Will See
At checkout, members simply choose their preferred payment method:
Credit Card – Instant processing
ACH Bank Transfer – Lower fees, processes in 3-5 business days
That's it! ACH is just as easy as paying any bill online.
Common Questions
Does this apply to non-profit swim clubs?
Yes, but don't worry—the application is straightforward. You'll just need your Board President, Treasurer, or another officer with financial responsibility to provide their information. This is standard for all organizations, including non-profits.
Why do you need personal information?
Federal law requires payment processors to verify the identity of individuals managing organizations that process payments. This is the same requirement banks have and protects against fraud. Your information is kept confidential and secure.
Can we still accept credit cards?
Absolutely! ACH is just an additional option. Nothing changes with credit card processing.
