A CAPTCHA field on a Gravity Form blocks bots from submitting spam entries and fraudulent charges.
Important: Every form that accepts payment should have a CAPTCHA field. It stops bots from creating spam entries and posting fraudulent charges to your payment processing account. If CAPTCHA is not enabled on your site, contact Member Splash Support.
What is CAPTCHA?
CAPTCHA stands for Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart. It tells real users apart from automated users such as bots. Learn more: What is CAPTCHA?
It is most useful on forms that attract junk entries, such as "Contact Us" or wait list forms.
Check if CAPTCHA Is Enabled on Your Site
Go to Content > Gravity Forms, open a form, and try to add a CAPTCHA field (see below).
If you see the message below, your site is not set up for CAPTCHA yet. Contact Member Splash Support and we will set it up for you.
Once set up, CAPTCHA works on any form you add it to.
Add CAPTCHA to a Form
Go to Content > Gravity Forms and open the form.
Click Advanced Fields and find the CAPTCHA field.
Drag it onto the form wherever you want it, then save the form.
