Tips and Best Practices

Before Making Major Changes:

  • Take screenshots of the current page for reference

  • Consider making changes during off-peak hours

  • Preview changes before publishing

Keep Consistency:

  • Match fonts, colors, and styles with other pages on your site

  • Use the same button styles throughout

  • Maintain consistent image sizes within galleries

Mobile Responsiveness:

  • The Avia Layout Builder automatically makes pages mobile-friendly

  • After editing, preview on mobile by clicking Preview and resizing your browser

  • Test buttons and forms on mobile devices

Common Mistakes to Avoid:

  • Don't forget to click Update/Publish

  • Don't delete elements you're unsure about - clone them first or save a draft

  • Don't upload extremely large images (resize to under 2MB when possible)

Getting Images

Best practices for images:

  • File format: JPG for photos, PNG for logos/graphics

  • Size: Resize images before uploading (typical width: 1200-2000px)

  • File size: Keep under 1-2MB per image

  • Names: Use descriptive filenames (e.g., "pool-summer-2024.jpg" not "IMG_1234.jpg")

To access Media Library:

  • Click Media in the left sidebar

  • Click Add New to upload images

  • Or use the media upload option within any image element
