How to configure and sell guest passes at the Front Desk Check-in

Member Splash allows your members to purchase guest passes in two ways:

  1. In advance through their Member portal, adding credits to their account for redemption at the Front Desk Check-in.

  2. At the Front Desk Check-in, immediately adding credit(s) the account which are then redeemed.

Let's explore how to configure how to sell Front Desk guest credits.

Configuring Guest Credits for Sale at Front Desk

  • Navigate to the Member Splash Menu > Front Desk > Checkin > select blue settings wheel on the top left

  • Guest Settings: Enter the number of credits to deduct for each guest type. Member Splash allows you to set the number of credits to deducted at different rates for weekdays and weekends. It also allows you to set different rates for Adults and Children.

    • Guest Pass Weekday Rate. Set the weekday rates for Adults and Children.

    • Guest Pass Weekend Rate. Set the weekend rates for Adult and Children.

  • Allow Manual Credits Override: If checked this will allow the guards to override the automatically calculated number of credits to deduct per guest and manually select a number.

  • Allow No Charge Visits: If checked this will give the guards the option to check in a guest with no charge.

  • Require Guest Name: If checked this will require the guards to enter a guest name. If unchecked submitting a blank guest name field will simply record them as "Guest."

  • Price Per Credit: Set the price per credit.

  • Allow Manual Price Override: If checked this will allow the guards to override the automatically calculated price per credit.

  • Payment Options: Choose which payment methods are accepted. If you wish to use a credit card reader enable the credit option. The actual credit purchase will take place through the reader but you will have a record of it in Member Splash and the credits will get added to the member's account.

    • Bill to Account, Cash, Check, Credit, Comp

  • Default Payment Method: Choose which payment method should be initially selected.

    • Bill to Account, Cash, Check, Credit, Comp

  • Disable Guest Pass Purchases: If your club is not selling passes at the front desk check this option to remove the Purchase Credits section from the guest check-in screen. This will require accounts to purchase guest credits in advance through their member portal, if available.

  • Save your changes.


Selling Guest Credits at Front Desk

If a member arrives at the Front Desk and wants to purchase credits, simply follow these steps after configuring your settings.

At the Front Desk Check-in Screen, pull up the account or member using your preferred search method.

  • Select Member

  • Select Add Guests

  • Using the window on the left side, enter the number of credits they want to purchase.

  • Select the preferred payment type and Purchase.

  • Credits will automatically be added to the account which can be redeemed on the right window.
