This walkthrough shows the member side of checkout so you can answer questions and set expectations before sales open.
At checkout
On the Make a Payment page, products that offer installments show a Pay in X installments label under the product name.
Under Payment Method, the member selects Credit or Debit, then chooses Pay in full or Pay in X installments.

When installments are not available: If the account has open bills, required products, a balance due, or credit, the page shows a gray note explaining the restriction and keeps Pay in full available. For open bills, pay them before starting an installment plan.
If other items are in the order, such as guest passes, they are set aside. The member needs to buy them in a separate order.
On Confirm Order, the member sees the plan total, the amount due today and every scheduled payment date and amount.
The member adds a card. The same card is used for today's payment and every future installment.
They read the authorization, which confirms the number of payments, the approximate amount of each and the total, then click Pay $X today.
After checkout
Confirmation email: an Installment Plan Confirmed email lists the plan total, the first payment, the remaining balance, the card used and the full schedule, with a View Your Installment Plan button.
Reminders: for weekly, monthly and yearly plans, the member receives an email 3 days before each charge.
Their account: members can check their schedule and balance under Payment Plans in their account.

Member Splash Support works with club admins, so members with questions about their plan should contact your club. A short note in your registration email helps, for example:
This year you can pay your initiation fee in 4 monthly installments. Choose Credit or Debit at checkout, then select Pay in 4 installments. Your first payment is charged today and the rest are charged automatically to the same card. Please buy guest passes in a separate order.
