September 2026 Releases & Updates

Release notes for September 2026, including V2 admin, account, staffing, mobile-app, and embedded-editor improvements.

September continues the post-V2 polish work with focused safeguards for guest check-ins, clearer tools for staffing administrators, and incremental improvements across member and mobile-app workflows. This draft will grow as more September releases ship. Here's what has shipped so far.

Release 6.0.73 — Guest Credit Check-In Safeguards (September 2, 2026)

  • Guest check-ins now verify the account's current credit balance at the moment of check-in, so a stale screen or simultaneous terminal cannot spend the same credits twice.

  • When there are not enough credits, the check-in is refused and the message shows the exact number of credits needed to continue.

  • Bulk account updates, CSV imports, and account edits now prevent guest-credit balances from being pushed below zero. If the balance changes while an account edit is open, a conflict warning helps prevent the newer value from being overwritten.

  • When a check-in is refused, the front-desk selection and queued guests remain in place so staff can correct the balance and retry.

Important: Accounts that were already below zero may remain blocked from chargeable guest check-ins until the balance is corrected. Review unexpected large negative balances before discussing payment with a member.

No setup changes are required.

Release 6.0.74 — Add Time Log for Missed Shifts (September 2, 2026)

  • The Time Logs action menu is now enabled for rows marked Missed and includes Add Time Log.

  • The form is pre-filled with the employee and shift. Enter a clock-in time and, if available, a clock-out time.

  • After submission, the shift is marked completed and the new log can be edited, approved, and included in hours and pay.

Tip: Submit Add Time Log only once for a missed shift; rapid duplicate submissions may create duplicate entries.

No setup changes are required.

Release 6.0.75 — Lost & Found Availability and Usability Fixes (September 3, 2026)

  • When Lost & Found is disabled for a club, staff now see an explanatory message directing them to Settings > Mobile App, and members see that the feature is not currently available instead of a generic permissions error.

  • The Claims modal can be opened from list view as well as card view, including for items with no existing claims. Walk-in member search and nested lists in dialogs also behave consistently.

  • Read-only Lost & Found pages continue to respond normally, while adding or editing items still requires the feature to be enabled.

No new setup is required beyond enabling Lost & Found when your club is ready to use it.

Release 6.0.76 — More Forgiving Member Name Search (September 3, 2026)

  • In the Front Desk check-in screen and Membership Accounts screen, first-name and last-name searches now treat common apostrophe styles as equivalent. For example, searches for O'Donnell, O’Donnell, or ODonnell can return the same account.

  • The same normalization is not yet documented as available in every search area; POS, Account Notes, and Contacts may require separate fixes.

No setup changes are required.

Release 6.0.77 — Granular Member Account Editing Controls (September 3, 2026)

  • Member Account Settings now support separate controls for changing existing photos, adding new photos, editing date of birth, and changing member type.

  • Photo and date-of-birth controls can be set to allow changes always, only outside the active season, or never. Member-type changes can be allowed or disallowed and remain limited to the club's approved member types.

  • Members can edit only records belonging to their own account. Admins, managers, and board members are unaffected.

Important: The member-facing screens must be rebuilt before these controls appear to members. Confirm the current UI and final wording before relying on the new member-facing behavior.

PWA v1.0.7 — Unbuilt Routes Temporarily Hidden (September 3, 2026)

  • Mobile Ordering and Forms & Documents are temporarily removed from the mobile-app home screen while those routes are being completed.

  • These routes are not currently available to members in the v1.0.7 home-screen experience. Other mobile-app features are unchanged by this patch.

No setup changes are required.

Release 6.0.78 — Cloned-Site Role Restoration (September 4, 2026)

  • Cloned sites now verify that the expected Member Splash roles actually exist after onboarding instead of relying only on the installation flag.

  • If roles are missing, they are installed automatically the next time the site loads.

  • Existing roles that still have users assigned are preserved during cleanup so current administrators do not lose access.

No manual setup is required for affected sites.

Release 6.0.79 — Clearer Front Desk Check-In Results (September 4, 2026)

  • Failed front desk check-ins now show a persistent red message with the number of members and guests that were not recorded.

  • The confirmation dialog stays open with the selected names still filled in, so staff can correct the issue and retry without starting over.

  • Successful check-ins show a green confirmation with the number of members and guests recorded, and only one result message appears at a time.

No setup changes are required.

Release 6.0.81 — Switch-Back Session Preservation (September 8, 2026)

  • When an admin uses Switch to and the member is prompted to complete required information or save a new password, the Switch back option remains available after the member saves the change.

  • Switch-back session state is preserved through a session refresh for the same user and is cleared only when a genuinely different user logs in.

No setup changes are required.

Release 6.0.82 — Closed Accounts Filter Enforcement (September 8, 2026)

  • When Show Closed Accounts is set to No on the Accounts list, closed accounts are now reliably hidden instead of appearing unexpectedly.

No setup changes are required.

Release 6.0.85 — Page Access Control Status and Filter Display Fix (September 8, 2026)

  • When Account Tags are selected in Page Access Control, the live status summary now reflects the restriction instead of showing the no-restrictions message.

  • The Active Filters area now shows Account Tags chips and updates when tags are selected or cleared, alone or together with other criteria such as Admin Roles.

  • The saved access rules themselves are unchanged; this release keeps the admin-facing summary and filters aligned with the restrictions already in force.

No setup changes are required.

Release 6.0.87 — Return to the Original Screen After Account Switching (September 14, 2026)

  • When an admin uses Switch to and then Switch back, the app now returns to the screen where the switch started instead of always returning to the Dashboard.

  • For chained switches, such as tech admin to board to member, each Switch back unwinds to the previous starting screen.

  • The Switch back banner now appears reliably across admin screens.

No setup changes are required.

Release 6.0.91 — Switch-Back Access Through Required-Information Blockers (September 16, 2026)

  • Admins can now use Switch back and continue navigating after switching into an account that has missing required account information.

  • The incomplete-information restriction continues to apply to regular members; this release only prevents it from trapping an admin who is switched into the account.

No setup changes are required.

Release 6.0.92 — Cleaner Saves in Embedded Editors (September 16, 2026)

  • Clicking Update in an embedded editor now saves cleanly without an unexpected Leave site? prompt or a stuck loading state.

  • The improvement applies to embedded editors including GP Bookings, Gravity Forms, Events, and GravityView.

  • Navigating away with genuine unsaved changes still shows the warning as expected.

Important: The underlying GP Bookings beta issue has been reported to Gravity Wiz. This release suppresses the stale warning during a real save but does not remove the warning for actual unsaved edits.

No setup changes are required.

Release 6.0.88 — Report Layouts, Column Order, and Row Selection (September 15, 2026)

  • Sales Details and Sales Summary now apply column drag-and-drop order to the table and exports, save each admin's layout, and restore it on the next visit.

  • Sales Details row checkboxes are available again. Exports include only the selected rows when a selection is made; with no selected rows, the full filtered result is exported.

  • View Invoices now sorts correctly by Guest Credits and Autopay. Sales Details and Sales Summary filters also remain in place while navigating, and Sales Summary includes a Clear button to reset filters.

No setup changes are required.

Release 6.0.89 — Preserve the Search Term Through Account Switching (September 15, 2026)

  • When an admin searches the Accounts screen, uses Switch to, and then Switch back, the search term is restored along with the existing round-trip context.

  • The search term is only carried across that switch round trip; a fresh page load or a normal visit starts with an empty search box.

No setup changes are required.

Release 6.0.90 — More Reliable Bulk Account Actions (September 15, 2026)

  • Large bulk account actions now run in batches of 25 to reduce timeout risk.

  • If a run stops partway through, the message reports how many accounts were updated before the failure, and the selection clears so admins do not repeat changes that already applied.

  • Closed accounts skipped by a bulk account-type change are reported instead of disappearing from the result.

  • MailChimp updates run in the background after the bulk action. Merge tags may take about 1–2 minutes to reflect a change.

No setup changes are required.

Release 6.0.93 — Safer Guest-Credit Card Sales at the Front Desk (September 17, 2026)

  • When a front-desk staff member selects Credit without an available card reader, Member Splash now requires explicit confirmation before adding guest credits and recording the sale.

  • The prompt explains whether the reader is misconfigured or not set up and includes Continue, Collect Payment Manually. Clubs with no registered reader can dismiss the prompt for the rest of the session.

  • Failed terminal transactions now roll back their database changes and show the terminal error instead of a generic error.

Important: Clubs with no registered reader may see this confirmation on each front-desk credit sale until the session dismissal is selected. If a cached front-desk build returns a 428 error, refresh the page before retrying the sale.

No setup changes are required.

Release 6.0.95 — Network Admin Navigation Restored (September 17, 2026)

  • Network Admin pages now keep the native WordPress top admin bar and left-hand navigation menu, so network-level screens can be navigated normally.

  • The chrome-hiding behavior remains limited to regular site-admin screens.

Note: If someone visited a regular site-admin screen earlier in the same session, the hidden-chrome state may persist until they log out and back in.

No setup changes are required.
