Switch to lets you step into a member's account and see exactly what they see, without needing their password. It's the quickest way to test your setup or figure out what a member is looking at when they say "I can't find it." You can switch into admin users the same way.
When to use it
Testing your setup: walk through your Join Form, products and checkout using your test account.
Helping a member: see their account, products and payment screen the way they see it.
Checking a fix: confirm a change you made (like a product rule or account tag) shows up correctly for that member.
Checking an admin's access: see what a new board member or staff login can see and do before they log in for the first time.
How to switch into an account
Go to Membership > Accounts.
Search for the account by last name, first name, email or account number.
Click the ... at the end of the account's row.
Click Switch to.
You're now viewing the site as that member. A Switch back banner stays at the top of the screen so you always know you're switched in.
How to switch into an admin user
Want to see Member Splash the way another board member or staff person does? Switch into their admin login.
Go to Admin > Users.
Find the user by username, or use Filters to narrow the list by role.
Click switch next to the user.
You'll see the admin menus and screens their role allows. It's a great way to confirm a new user's role is set up the way your board intended.

How to switch back
Click Switch back in the banner. Member Splash takes you back to the screen you started on, and your search on the Accounts screen is still there, so you can move right on to the next account.
💡 Good to know: If the member's account asks for missing required information or a new password, you can still click Switch back. You won't get stuck.
Switched more than once in a row, like into an admin user and then into a member account from there? Each Switch back takes you back one step, to the screen where that switch started.
Before you click anything
⚠️ It's the real account. Anything you do while switched in, like buying a product, editing info or changing settings as an admin, happens on that real account. Use your test account for test purchases, and only make changes when that's what you mean to do.
