A date-based pricing variation lets you automatically give an early bird discount when members pay their dues before a set date. Pricing variations can be based on Account Type, Account Tag, or Date Range.
Add an Early Bird Discount
Go to Finances > Products and click Edit on your membership product.
Scroll down to Flat Rate Pricing and click Add a Variation.
Click Choose Variation Type and select Date Range. The options are Account Type, Account Tag, and Date Range.
Enter the Start Date and End Date for the discount.
Enter the Amount as a negative number, since this is a discount. Example: -25.00.
Add an optional Description. It shows on the payments page.
To layer another variation on top, set the Next Rule Relationship (And, Or, | And, | Or). See And / Or conditions for Next Rule Relationships.
If there is no other variation, leave Next Rule Relationship as Select.
Click Update to save the product.
What Members See
When a member pays between the start and end dates, they see a line under the product showing the regular price and the discount amount.
Note: Pricing variations are only available on Flat Rate Pricing products. For late fees, see Pricing Variation Based on Dates: Late Fees.
