A Facility Group is the top-level container that holds your individual facilities. For example, if your club has a pool, tennis courts, and a pavilion, each of those would be its own Facility Group. Individual lanes, courts, or spaces get built inside the group in the next step.
To create a Facility Group:
Log in to your Member Splash admin dashboard.
Navigate to Reservations > Facility Groups.
Click Add New Facility Group.
Enter a Group Name (e.g., "Pool," "Tennis Courts," "Pavilion").
Configure any group-level settings as needed - see below.
Click Save.
Once your Facility Group is saved, you're ready to add individual facilities inside it.
Facility Group Settings
Work through each option below:
Group Name (Required) Give your group a generic name like "Pool" or "Tennis Courts." You'll get specific with individual lanes or courts when you create your facilities in the next step.
Visible to Members (Optional) When unchecked, this group and its facilities will not be visible to members. Use this to build out and configure your facilities completely before making them live.
Allow Guests (Optional) Enable this if you want members to be able to add guests to their reservations. When enabled, an additional field lets you set the maximum number of guests allowed per reservation.
Restrict Access by Account Type (Optional) Use the dropdown to select which account types are permitted to make reservations in this group. For example, you might limit tennis court reservations to "Swim & Tennis" account holders only. Leave the field blank to allow all account types. Note: this setting is only available at the Facility Group level.
Reservation Periods (Optional) Controls how far in advance members can book. For example, you might allow reservations for the full season but only let members book one week ahead at a time.
Reservation Limits (Optional) Sets the maximum number of reservations a member or account can make per day or per week. Limits can be applied on a per-member basis, a per-account basis, or both.
Default Schedules (Optional) A schedule set at the group level will apply to all facilities in the group automatically. Individual facilities can override the group schedule if needed. For example, if all six lap lanes share the same hours, set the schedule once here at the group level. If Lane 1 has a different schedule due to swim lessons, you can define a separate schedule for that facility which will take priority.
Reservation Eligibility
The Allow Unpaid Members to Reserve setting controls whether members with an Unpaid payment status can make or be added to reservations. When this setting is disabled, unpaid members cannot be added to reservations. The rule is enforced for both free and paid reservations.
