Using Announcements to Send Dashboard Notifications to Members

Announcements is a Member Splash tool that lets club administrators send pop-up notifications directly to members while they are logged into your club site. Announcements appear automatically without requiring members to check their email, making it a great option for updates, reminders, and collecting member feedback.

Getting There

From your admin dashboard, navigate to Communications > Announcements. Here you will see all of your announcements organized by status: All, Active, Scheduled, Draft, and Archived.

What You Can Do With Announcements

Announcements supports two types of announcements:

Pop-up displays a message to members and can include up to two call-to-action buttons. You can choose from three layout options:

  • Vertical — centered modal with image on top and text below

  • Horizontal — wide modal with image on the left and message on the right

  • Toast — a rounded strip pinned to the bottom of every page

Feedback allows you to collect responses from members. Choose from two formats:

  • Open Answers — members type free-form responses to up to five questions you write

  • Poll — members pick from up to six preset options you define

Creating an Announcement

Click + New Announcement to open the four-step editor.

Step 1 — Type

Choose between Pop-up and Feedback.

For Pop-up, select your layout: Vertical, Horizontal, or Toast.

For Feedback, select your format: Open Answers or Poll.

Click Continue.

Note: once you move past this step on an existing announcement, the type cannot be changed. If you need a different type you will need to create a new announcement.

Step 2 — Content

Enter a title (up to 80 characters) and your message (up to 500 characters). Select an accent color from the available options. The editor autosaves your progress as you work — you will see a Saving indicator in the header.

For Pop-up announcements, you can optionally upload an image.

For Feedback announcements, no image upload is available on this step.

Step 3 — Call to Action

This step works differently depending on your announcement type.

For Pop-up announcements, add up to two call-to-action buttons. Each button requires a label and a destination URL. This step is optional — you can proceed without a button if your announcement is informational only.

For Open Answers feedback, add up to five questions. Members will type a free-form response to each one. Use the trash icon to remove any question you no longer need.

For Poll feedback, add up to six answer options for members to choose from. Each option is a preset choice members will select when the announcement appears. Use the trash icon to remove any option you no longer need.

Step 4 — Audience & Schedule

Configure who sees the announcement and when. This step is the same across all announcement types:

  • Account Types — target specific membership types or leave empty to show to all

  • Account Tags — filter by account tags or leave empty for any

  • Account Payment Status — target by payment status or leave empty for any

  • Frequency — choose Show Once (the member sees it one time and it never appears again, even if they do not interact with it) or another frequency option

  • Timing — choose Active Now to publish immediately with no end date, or Scheduled to run between specific dates

Click Publish when you are ready to go live.

Tracking Performance

Once an announcement has been delivered you can click Stats on any announcement card to view performance data.

For Pop-up announcements, stats include:

  • Delivered — percentage of eligible members who have been shown the announcement

  • Engagement — percentage who clicked a call-to-action button

  • Dismissed — members who closed the announcement without clicking

For Feedback announcements, stats include:

  • Delivered

  • Submissions and response rate

  • A recipients table that doubles as a submissions list — click any row to view that individual member's responses in full
