New Clients - Connect Mailchimp to Member Splash

Link your club’s Mailchimp account so you can email your members right from Member Splash. You’ll need a Mailchimp login and about 10 minutes.

Get your Mailchimp API key

  1. Log in to Mailchimp. If your club doesn’t have an account yet, sign up at mailchimp.com.

  2. Click your profile icon, then go to Profile > Extras > API keys.

  3. Click Create A Key, give it a name like “Member Splash,” and copy the key.

Connect your account

  1. In Member Splash, go to Communications > Mailchimp > Main Settings.

  2. Paste your key into the Mailchimp API Key field.

  3. Choose your club’s audience from the List dropdown.

  4. Click Submit. You’ll see a confirmation message.

Sync your members

  1. Click the Sync Settings tab.

  2. Turn on the merge tags you want sent to Mailchimp. Not sure which you need? Turn them all on.

  3. Click Sync Now. Your first sync may take a few minutes.

⚠️ Turning off a merge tag here doesn’t delete it in Mailchimp, and deleting it in Mailchimp doesn’t remove it here. To remove a tag completely, delete it in Mailchimp and turn it off in Member Splash.

💡 New account tags show up on Sync Settings turned off. Turn them on and click Sync Now to add them to Mailchimp. See Understanding and Using Account Tags.
